There’s so much to love about living in Pennsylvania and Maryland. The Leader family had this in mind when they founded and built our senior living communities. And to make our residents feel at home, each community was developed within close proximity to the very lives they lived prior to moving to Country Meadows. All of our senior living communities are a short drive — or walk, in some cases — to neighborhood restaurants, favorite shopping destinations, cultural venues, places of worship and more.

While residents stay connected to their outside circle, the Leader family also created an environment at each community with even more ways to expand current interests, as well as learn new hobbies, make more friends, foster their well-being and be free to focus on what matters most to them.

A special afternoon at our Wyomissing campus had everyone smiling as resident Bill invited his singing group, the TRAAC Singers, to perform for the community.
The highlight of the event was seeing Bill step into the spotlight for his own solo performance. Residents loved singing along, clapping to the rhythm, and cheering on their friend as he shared his talent with the group.

A little kindness can be pretty sweet 🍪🧁💙
Residents at our Hershey campus put their baking talents to work for a great cause, creating an incredible assortment of homemade desserts to support a Chicken BBQ fundraiser benefiting the Hershey Fire Company.
From brownies and cupcakes to chocolate-covered pretzels, snack mixes, and other sweet treats, every neighborhood contributed something special. The community effort paid off in a big way, with more than 250 packaged desserts selling out in just 30 minutes!
It was a wonderful reminder that when people come together with a shared purpose, even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact.

Prom preparations were making waves at our Hershey campus 🌊💙🌸
Before the "Under the Sea" themed prom began, residents rolled up their sleeves and helped create beautiful corsages for all the ladies attending the big event.
From choosing flowers to putting the finishing touches on each piece, the activity was filled with creativity, teamwork, and excitement for the celebration ahead. The handmade corsages added an extra-special touch and made the evening even more memorable.

With the help of Dynamic Living team member Julie, a Master Gardener, Pathways residents have been hard at work creating a beautiful space where flowers and vegetables can flourish.
The garden will provide fresh herbs, vegetables, and flowers to enjoy throughout the summer and fall, creating opportunities to bring homegrown ingredients into the kitchen and fresh blooms into the community.
But this garden is about more than what’s planted in the soil. At our Frederick campus, Garden Club is growing beauty, purpose, connection, and a sense of accomplishment with every seed planted and every flower that blooms. 🌻💚

Our Wyomissing residents recently headed out for an extra special fitness outing with our senior fitness instructor, Vi Schultz. The destination? A heartwarming intergenerational fitness class with the adorable preschoolers at UMC! 🧘♂️🎒
The room was absolutely bursting with movement, laughter, and pure joy. Our residents prepared special treats for the students and teachers, while the preschoolers surprised the residents with the most thoughtful handmade cards! 🎁💌
The day was so moving that one of the teachers shared this beautiful message afterward:
"Today was truly amazing. I am so happy so many residents came and participated. I had tears in my eyes at the end.”

Residents and co-workers came together for the March Bike to End Alzheimer’s challenge, reaching an incredible combined total of 926 miles!
A special shoutout goes to resident Mary Lou Toye, who biked an amazing 160 miles in the fitness center by riding every single day throughout March. Her dedication and determination earned her a special gift presentation from Home Office to celebrate the achievement.

Big congratulations are in order! Through teamwork, determination, and a shared commitment to wellness, our Bethlehem campus was selected as a winner of a brand-new NuStep T6 Max in the Pump It for Parkinson’s Challenge.
Led by Fitness Director Nicole Vicoso, residents and co-workers came together to log more than 638,000 steps in support of Parkinson’s awareness. Out of more than 10,000 participants and 500 senior living communities across the country, Bethlehem earned this exciting honor through dedication, healthy competition, and a whole lot of movement.

Our Frederick campus just knocked it out of the park with our brand-new fitness opportunity: a seated boxing class! Our residents absolutely loved switching up their routine and throwing some jabs, crosses, and hooks.
The energy in the room was electric, and everyone was so excited to meet our instructor, Joe! (Spoiler alert: they’re already counting down the days until his next class next month! 📆👋).

Amy Jo recently led a calming sound bath experience featuring layered tones and soothing sounds designed to create a peaceful, immersive atmosphere. From sound bowls to chimes and ocean drums, the space quickly transformed into a moment of rest, reflection, and relaxation.
One especially meaningful moment came when Norm, an Assisted Living resident, shared how powerful it was to fully immerse in the sounds and even have the opportunity to play the sound bowls herself.

At our Hershey campus, resident veterans and their spouses were recognized during a special gathering filled with gratitude, reflection, and appreciation.
The event provided an opportunity for co-workers and fellow residents to honor those who have served and the families who supported them along the way. Stories were shared, friendships were celebrated, and heartfelt thanks were expressed to a group whose sacrifices and dedication continue to inspire us.
We are proud to recognize and celebrate the veterans who call our community home.

Gloves on, grabbers ready, and kindness in action 🌎💚
Residents headed out along Route 40 ready to make a difference—equipped with gloves, reachers, trash bags, and plenty of bright-colored spirit. What started as a community cleanup turned into a beautiful morning of giving back, enjoying the outdoors, and caring for the Earth together.
The best part? Residents already asked to make it a monthly tradition… and just like that, the Golden Green Team keeps growing at our Frederick campus ✨
